Files can be renamed, copied, moved, deleted, tagged, untagged, executed,
viewed, edited, and printed. Tagged files behave differently than untagged
files. See [chapter 5,a82] on tagging and untagging files, and how to use them.
Left-clicking on an untagged file will bring up a menu of choices. Most files
will give you the option of viewing, editing, or printing the file. This will
invoke the MS-DOS Edit program and automatically load the file. However, if
a file with a specific file extension is encountered, there are different
options.
A file ending in the extension .GIF, .TIF, .BMP, .JPG, or .PCX can be viewed
by a graphics program of your choice. You must configure the graphics program
before attempting this. Choose the 'Preferences' option from the [File,a4]
menu.
A file ending in the extension .ZIP can be automatically extracted for you
if you choose. You must configure Desk+Plus for this option. Choose the
'Preferences' option from the [File,a4] menu.
